At Baolai Steel Pipe, we know that the longevity and performance of steel pipes depend on their protection against corrosion and environmental factors. Our Pipe Surface Treatment services provide a durable shield, ensuring your pipes withstand harsh conditions and deliver reliable performance for decades. We apply a variety of advanced coatings to meet the specific demands of your project.
Purpose: To provide a protective layer against rust and corrosion while also allowing for color-coding for identification.
Processing Technology: We apply a durable layer of paint, commonly in Black, Red, or Clear Varnish.
Benefits:
Purpose: To provide a temporary protective film that prevents rust during storage and transport.
Processing Technology: A thin layer of protective oil is applied to the pipe’s surface, creating a moisture-resistant barrier.
Benefits:
Purpose: To provide a highly durable and long-lasting zinc coating for superior corrosion resistance.
Processing Technology: Pipes are submerged in a bath of molten zinc, creating a metallurgical bond between the zinc and the steel.
Benefits:
Purpose: A high-performance thermoset coating that provides excellent corrosion protection for steel pipes.
Applicable Temperature: Suitable for pipes operating between -30°C and 100°C.
Processing Technology: A powdered epoxy is electrostatically applied to a heated pipe, where it melts and cures to form a continuous, uniform film. We offer both single and two-layer FBE systems.
Benefits:
These multi-layer coating systems are designed to provide excellent anti-corrosion and mechanical protection for buried steel pipes, with each system tailored for different operating temperatures.
Coating Structure and Technology
2PE (Two-Layer Polyethylene): This system consists of an inner adhesive layer and an outer polyethylene layer.
3PE (Three-Layer Polyethylene): This system adds a layer of Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) directly onto the steel pipe for superior adhesion and corrosion resistance. This is followed by an adhesive and a polyethylene outer layer.
3LPP (Three-Layer Polypropylene): Similar in structure to 3PE, this system uses a polypropylene outer layer instead of polyethylene.
